| Valentine Crunchies
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
1 cup of flour
1/2 teaspoon of soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup of oatmeal
1 cup of cornflakes
1/2 cup of coconut
1/2 cup of chopped nuts |

Cream butter. Add sugar then egg and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Last add cornflakes, coconut, oatmeal and nuts. Roll into small balls and place about 2 inch apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350ºF. for 10-15 minutes. (6 dozen.) |
