Hot and Spicy String Beans

Hot and Spicy String Beans

2 pounds of fresh string beans
1/2 cup of sliced white mushrooms
1 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar

Instructions:

Wash the beans and pat dry with a towel. Place the beans, mushrooms, jalapeno pepper, black pepper and red pepper flakes in a large frying pan sprayed with cooking spray. Sauté over a low heat for about 10 minutes. Add the vinegar and continue to cook for another 5 minutes or until the beans are tender, but still bright green. Serves 8
