Sausage Grits

Sausage Grits

1 pound of pork sausage
3 cups of hot cooked grits
2 1/2 cups of Cheddar cheese, shredded
3 tablespoons of butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cup of milk

Cook sausage until brown, drain. Spoon lightly into greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish. Combine hot grits, cheese and butter. Stir until cheese and butter melt. Combine eggs and milk. Stir into grits. Pour over sausage in casserole. Bake at 350ºF. for 1 hour. Can be made the night before and refrigerated and baked next day. 15 servings.
