Cheese Grits 2

2 cups of chicken stock
2 cups of water
1 small garlic clove
1 cup of quick-cooking hominy grits;
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
Salt; to taste

 

Place chicken stock and water in a medium saucepan over high heat. Bring to a boil. Stir in garlic and grits. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, for about 10 to 15 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until completely melted. Season to taste with salt and keep warm. Yield: 6 servings
