Schnitzel Beans and Bacon with Potatoes

1 1/2 quarts of string beans, cut into small pieces
2 tablespoon of diced bacon
1 tablespoon of lard
3 large onions, sliced
4 medium potatoes, diced
1 teaspoon of salt
1 1/2 cup of hot water
A dash of pepper

Fry the bacon until crisp, add to the string beans and water, and cook about 20 minutes. Add the potatoes and other ingredients and cook until potatoes are soft.
