
| German Beer - Ox Sandwiches
For 12 Hoagie Rolls (serves 5-6). 2 1/2 lb. lean ground beef 1 medium size head cabbage, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 2 tablespoons of garlic powder 1 tablespoon of crushed red pepper Salt & pepper to taste 2 1/2 cups of grated Cheddar cheese (optional) |

Brown ground beef, onion and allspice. Add cabbage. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or low heat, stirring occasionally. Slice rolls lengthwise halfway through. Hollow out center of roll to form cup and stuff with meat mix. Place on foil lined cookie sheet. Top both halves with grated cheese. Cover with foil and heat in 350ºF oven until cheese is melted and rolls are heated through. |
