SHAPE beef into 6 patties, 1/2" thick. COOK the patties in a skillet until browned. Pour off fat. ADD soup, water, Worcestershire and mustard. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 min. or until done. SERVE on muffins with sauce. Serves 6. Welsh rarebit derives its name from the words 'rare' (for lightly cooked) and 'bit' (small portion). Think of the lightly cooked' part, however, only in terms of the cheese sauce traditionally served over toast. In this, or any ground beef recipe, always be sure to cook the beef thoroughly.
