1 pound of lean ground beef; or turkey 3 tablespoons of Spice Islands Minced Onions 2 tablespoons of Spice Islands Chili Powder 1 teaspoon of salt 1/4 teaspoon of Spice Islands Cayenne Pepper 2 cups of water one 15 - 16 ounce can of kidney beans one 6 ounce can of tomato paste |
| Toppings: chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, shredded Cheddar cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips Heat large saucepan or skillet over medium heat until hot. Add ground beef; brown 5 to 7 minutes, breaking up into 3/4-inch crumbles. Pour off drippings. Season beef with minced onions, chili powder, salt and cayenne pepper. Stir in water, kidney beans, tomato paste and water. Return to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with toppings, as desired.
