

| Zesty Turkey and Rice

1 2/3 cups of chicken stock 1 teaspoon of dried basil leaves, crushed 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon of hot pepper sauce 1 pound of canned stewed tomatoes 3/4 cup of uncooked long grain rice 1 cup of frozen peas 2 cups of cooked turkey or chicken |

1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan over medium high heat. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Reduce heat to low. 2. Cover and cook 20 minutes. Stir in peas and turkey. 3. Cover and cook 5 minutes more or until rice is done and most of liquid is absorbed.
