In a medium saucepan, bring 1 quart of the water and the sugar to a boil over high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat and stir in the mint leaves and tea. Cover, and let it stand for 10 minutes. Strain the tea into a pitcher. Stir in the remaining water. Add the ice cubes and let it stand until well chilled before serving. |
