| Barbecued Steak
2 tablespoons of seasoned flour 2 pounds of round steak, 3/4 inch thick 3 tablespoons of shortening 1 can of tomato soup 1/3 cup of chopped onion 1/2 cup of chopped celery 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tablespoons of brown sugar 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 2 teaspoons of prepared mustard 4 drops of Tabasco
Pound seasoned flour into steak, brown in shortening. Combine remaining ingredients, pour over steak. Cover, simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes, basting occasionally. Yield 8 servings. |
