| Baked Steak Supreme with Gravy
1 1/2 pounds of round steak, cut into serving pieces 2 teaspoons of salt 1/2 teaspoon of pepper 1/2 cup of flour 2 tablespoons of shortening 1 tablespoon of butter 1 medium onion, sliced 1/2 garlic bud, finely minced 1 can of cream of mushroom soup 2 cups of water
Sprinkle the steak with salt and pepper, dredge with flour. Brown meat in shortening and butter, cover with onion and garlic. Dilute soup with water, pour over all. Bake at 350°F. for 1 hour or until the meat is tender. Yield: 6 servings |
