Combine the first 7 ingredients in a large bowl, make a well in the center of the mixture. Combine the egg and next 4 ingredients, add to the dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. (Batter will be stiff.) Place the paper baking cups in muffin pans, spoon the batter into cups, filling each two thirds full. Bake at 425ºF. for 20 minutes or until golden. Remove from the pan immediately, and cool on wire racks. Decorate if desired. Makes 1 dozen TIP: Spread the muffins with peanut butter and decorate as desired. Use assorted candies, pretzels, mints and pipe cleaners to transform these snacks into devils, cats, spiders and aliens.
