2 packages (any flavor) cake mix
FROSTING AND DECORATING:
2 cans vanilla frosting supreme 8 drops red food color 16 drops yellow food color Candy coated choc. pieces Candy corn 6 drops green food color 2 to 3 flat bottom ice cream cones |
| Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour 12 cup bundt pan. Prepare and bake 1 cake mix according to package directions. Cool completely. Repeat with remaining cake mix. In medium bowl, combine both containers of frosting. Remove and reserve 1/4 cup of the frosting. Add red and yellow food color to remaining frosting; blend well to make orange frosting. To make pumpkin shape, place 1 cake, rounded side down, on serving plate. Spread top with 1/3 cut of the orange frosting. Place second cake, rounded side up, on top of first cake. Frost cakes with orange frosting. Stir green frosting. Insert 1 or 2 plain cones in center of cake to prop frosted cone in desired position on top, forming stem of pumpkin. Decorate cake with candies to resemble jack o lantern face. 24 servings. If necessary, before assembling, trim cakes to form flat surfaces. Jack O Lantern Cake 2
1 pkg. Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe cake mix (any flavor) 2 (16 oz.) containers Duncan Hines vanilla frosting, divided 1 flat bottom ice cream cone Green, red and yellow food coloring
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Grease and flour 10-inch Bundt pan. Prepare, bake and cool cake following package directions. Measure 1/4 cup frosting into small bowl. Tint with green food coloring. Place ice cream cone upside down on waxed paper. Frost with green frosting. Refrigerate. Tint remaining frosting with red and yellow food coloring until frosting is desired orange color. Measure 3 tablespoons orange frosting in small bowl; add green food coloring to make brown frosting. Frost cake with orange frosting. Make eyes, mouth and nose with brown frosting as desired on pumpkin. Place green frosted ice cream cone in center hole of cake for stem. Halloween 4 Kids |
