1/2 cup of butter, softened 1/2 cup of cup of chunky peanut butter 1/2 cup of sugar 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar 1 large egg, beaten 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda 1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour, sifted
Cream the butter and peanut butter together. Beat in the sugars, then stir in the beaten egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and add it to the creamed mixture. Mix well. Separate your dough into balls, the size of large marbles. Place these on an ungreased baking sheet 2 to 3 inches apart. Using a floured fork, press down on each cookie, making a crisscross pattern and flattening each cookie to about 2 inches in diameter. Bake in the oven for 8 to 12 minutes or until light brown.
