Chocolate Balls 2
Recipe By: Serving Size: 1 Cuisine: Uncategorized Main Ingredient: Chocolate
-= Ingredients =- 2 1/4 ounces of water 4 1/2 ounces of sugar 4 1/2 ounces of ground walnuts 4 1/2 ounces of ground almonds 4 1/2 ounces of ground coconut 4 1/2 ounces of unsweetened chocolate 4 1/2 ounces of honey 2 or 3 tablespoons of kirsch Cocoa powder to roll balls
-= Instructions =- Over low heat, dissolve sugar in water. Add chocolate to melt. Add all other ingredients except kirsch and cocoa. Stir continuously over low heat until mixture becomes a paste. Remove from heat; add kirsch. Let cool completely. Form into small balls and roll in cocoa. Serve in small paper cases. The last time I made them, I didnt have a scale so I just measured out equal amounts of everything (and half that measure of water). I guessed with the kirsch -- the measurement is imprecise anyway. And they were delicious. Posted to JEWISH-FOOD digest by "Paula Miller Jacobson" <paulaj@erols.com> on Sep 7, 1998, converted by MM_Buster v2.0l.

Chocolate Balls 3
Recipe By: Serving Size: 1 Cuisine: Uncategorized Main Ingredient: Chocolate
-= Ingredients =- 1 can Eagle Brand 40 Graham Crackers; crushed 1 package of chocolate chips 1/4 package of nuts; ( pecans, walnuts) Coconut
-= Instructions =- I thought I would finally share a recipe that was my mothers from 1949: Mix first 4 ingredients, then roll in coconut. Mother made these every year, only at Christmas. Mother is 91 now, and no longer makes these, now... I do. Somehow, they don't quite taste the same. I hope this is the correct way to post a recipe. Thanks to all, for helping me to learn more, and to actually begin to love cooking.
