Sauté the onion in fat, add meat. Fry for 30 minutes. Stir in sauerkraut and bay leaf. Simmer, covered, for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until the meat and sauerkraut are tender. Season with salt and pepper. Just before serving, stir in sour cream. Makes 4 - 6 servings |
