Preheat your oven to 375ºF. melt the butter in a heavy medium skillet over medium low heat. Add the next 7 ingredients and cook until the vegetables are tender, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes. Combine the meat, egg, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of catsup and Worcestershire sauce in a medium bowl. Blend in sautéed vegetables. Form mixture into loaf 1 3/4 inches high and 5 inches wide in baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes. Spread top with remaining 1/4 cup of catsup and bake for 40 more minutes. Makes 2 to 4 servings. |
