| AUSTRIAN TWISTS
2 cups of flour 1 package of dry yeast 1 cup of butter 3 egg yolks 1 cup of sour cream
Sprinkle yeast over flour, then add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Wrap ball of dough in wax paper and refrigerate overnight. |

Filling (Sugar Mix):
1 cup of sugar 1 cup of chopped nuts 1 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Divide the dough and sugar mix into 4 equal parts. Put 1/4 sugar mix on bread board and take 1/4 of dough and roll into 8 inch diameter circle, turning dough over and over until all the sugar is absorbed. Cut the circle in 16 wedges. Roll each wedge, starting with the large end and rolling towards the point. Repeat for remaining dough and sugar mixture. Bake at 350ºF. on slightly greased baking sheets for 15 minutes. Place immediately on racks to cool. (Unbaked rolls freeze very well.) |
