| AUSTRIAN ANISE COOKIES
3 eggs
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of anise seeds
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
Beat the eggs and sugar until white and fluffy. Sift flour, anise seeds, and baking powder together and work gradually into egg and sugar mixture. Drop batter by teaspoonful onto greased, lightly floured baking sheets and bake in moderate oven 350ºF. for 10 to 12 minutes. Yield 3 to 4 dozen cookies. |
