

| Soft Cut-Out Christmas Sugar Cookies

2/3 cup of sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla 2/3 cup of Crisco shortening 2 Slightly beaten eggs 2 cups of flour 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

Combine: Form into ball. Put in plastic bag or cover bowl. Refrigerate overnight. On floured board roll out to desired thickness. Cut out shapes. Bake. Let cool and frost or sprinkle colored sugars or any topping on them before you bake them. Bake at 350ºF. to 375ºF. for 8 to 10 minutes. Can be cut into hearts for Valentines Day also.
