2 cups of sugar 1/2 pound of butter, DO NOT SUBSTITUTE 2 eggs 6 tablespoons of whole milk 2 teaspoons of baking powder Approx. 5 cups of white flour |
|
Beat butter with sugar with an electric beater. Add eggs, then milk. Put the 2 teaspoons of baking powder in with 4 cups of the flour. Mix by hand until thoroughly blended. Then add more flour slowly until batter is the consistency of a soft pie dough. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. If dough gets too cold and is hard to work with, let set at room temperature for a while.
Roll small pieces of dough on floured surface, as thin as possible, but still able to transfer on ungreased cookie sheet with a spatula. Bake at 420ºF. until lightly browned, approximately 4 minutes. Watch them carefully because they brown quickly. |
