On Christmas Eve lutefisk if traditionally served in our home with buttered lefse. It can be found in most supermarkets or fish markets during the winter months.2 pounds of lutefisk
1/2 pound of butter, melted |

Rinse fish thoroughly in cold water, tie fish in cheese cloth for cooking since it is very tender and will break apart. Place in cool salted water in five quart pan and bring to boil. Cook for approximately 10 minutes or until tender and translucent.
Remove gently and serve with melted butter. Serves 4. This fish could be cooked in microwave according to directions for any white cod fish. "Vaer sa god" (be so good). |
