Peanut Butter Flapjacks

2 cups of whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 cups of milk
2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup or honey
2 tablespoons of unrefined oil
1 tablespoon of yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup of warm water
1/4 cup of old fashioned peanut butter 

Mix the flour and salt. Mix the egg, milk, syrup, oil and dissolved yeast. Gradually stir liquids into the peanut butter until smooth. Add this to the flour mixture and stir just until moistened. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes. Batter will be thin. Bake on hot griddle until browned on both sides. Serves 4 - 6
